Ingredients
-
2 (12-inch) ready-made Pizza Crusts
-
1 (17.6-ounce) carton crushed Tomatoes
-
2 tablespoons light Brown Sugar
-
1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
-
1 teaspoon freshly ground Black Pepper
-
1 teaspoon ground Cumin
-
1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
-
10 ounces Mozzarella Cheese
-
10 ounces sliced Pepperoni
Directions
This “special” is really just two pepperoni pies, which is about as perfect a pizza order as one can imagine. These pies might also be paired with a beer as a “thank you” to your friends for helping you move. As we all know, it is no easy feat getting furniture up a tiny stairwell. They deserve a slice after all that pivoting!
Steps

Preheat the oven to 450°F. Line two large unrimmed baking sheets with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray. Place the pizza crusts on the prepared baking sheets. |

To a small saucepan set over medium heat, add the crushed tomatoes, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, cumin, and Italian seasoning. Stir to incorporate and cook just until the tomato sauce has warmed through, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from the heat. |

Spoon one ladleful of the sauce in the center of one of the pizza crusts. Use the ladle to spread the sauce evenly on the crust, leaving a 1-inch border. Sprinkle about a third of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then top with half of the pepperoni. Sprinkle a bit more cheese on top. |

Repeat with the second pizza crust. |

Bake the pizzas one at a time for 8 to 10 minutes or until the crust becomes golden brown and the cheese is bubbly. |
