Ingredients
-
4 ounces Semisweet Chocolate
-
¼ teaspoon Kosher Salt
-
¾ cup whole Milk
-
Bourbon
-
Shortbread
Directions
These shots are so intense that you can’t drink them too quickly. This is a good thing for a weeknight. It keeps everybody at the table a little longer, dipping and sipping and putting off the dishes, talking, hanging out, and not worrying at all that tomorrow is Thursday.

In a large, heatproof bowl, combine the chocolate and salt. |

In a small saucepan, bring the milk to a simmer over medium heat. Pour the milk over the chocolate mixture, let it sit for a minute or two, then use a rubber spatula to slowly stir the mixture until it is thick and shiny but still pourable. Divide the chocolate among four small cups or glasses, pour in shots of booze if you want to, and serve with shortbread on the side. |
