Ingredients
-
12 Figs
-
¼ cup crumbled Goat Cheese
-
¼ cup chopped Pecans
-
Honey
Directions
I’ve always adored figs. As a young girl, I’d volunteer to pick them for Mama and Grandmother to make their fig preserves—one would go into the basket for the preserves and the next, into my mouth. I still can’t get enough of figs when they are in season, and this quick little appetizer is one of my favorite ways to serve them. If the figs are ripe enough, you won’t need much honey. You can also use ripe peaches or plums.

Place the figs on the lined baking sheet, cut sides up, and bake until soft and heated through, about 10 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven and top with the goat cheese and pecans. Drizzle with honey. Bake until the toppings are warm, about 3 more minutes. Serve warm. |
