Ingredients
-
50 g porridge Oats
-
350 ml whole Milk
-
pinch of Salt
-
pinch of Cinnamon
-
1 tsp Maple Syrup
Directions
I always loved the idea of proper porridge but used shortcuts such as packets and microwave methods so it never tasted that good. Actually, it’s ridiculously simple to make so I don’t know what I was worried about. The cinnamon is a great touch and let’s rock the whole milk. Keeps the family full for ages.

Put the oats in a saucepan and pour over the milk or milk and water. Slowly bring the mixture to the boil, stirring constantly, then turn the heat down. Add the salt and cinnamon. |

Cook the porridge gently, stirring regularly, until it has thickened to your liking. As long as the oats have cooked for about 5 minutes, you can eat it as runny or as thick as you like. |

If you have a sweet tooth, serve with a little honey or maple syrup and gradually cut this down until you don’t need it any more. |
