This cheese ball is the perfect appetizer to take to a holiday gathering, and it can be prepared the day ahead. The pineapple adds a touch of sweetness and it tastes great served with a variety of crackers and vegetables. For a more savory cheese ball, you can omit the pineapple and add a dash of hot sauce.

In a medium bowl, using a hand mixer, beat together the cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Stir in the cheddar, green onions, and ranch seasoning. Gently fold in the pineapple. Place the mixture on a large piece of plastic wrap and form it into a ball or log. Place in the freezer for 20 to 30 minutes. |
