1 (2-pound) flank Steak
Directions
Strong coffee is a fabulous addition to a marinade. The steak is best enjoyed a little on the rare side as this will enhance its flavor and texture.

Combine all ten ingredients, apart from the steak, in a zip lock bag, massaging the bag to ensure that the ingredients are incorporated. Add the steak and marinate in the fridge overnight. |

Before grilling the steak, remove from the refrigerator and allow the meat to sit for 20 minutes at room temperature. |

Preheat the grill to high heat. |

Remove the steak from the marinade and pat dry using kitchen paper towels. |

Grill the steak for 4-5 minutes each side. Ideally serve the steak rare. |

Allow the steak to rest for 10-15 minutes before thinly slicing against the grain on the diagonal. |
