Hazelnuts and chocolate make this snack a superfood treat that’s perfect for mapping in parchment paper and packing into your lunch hag.

Line an 11 x 9-inch baking pan with parchment paper. |

Put the dried cherries and hazelnuts into a small bowl and mix well. |

Put the chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of gently simmering water, making sure the bowl doesn’t touch the water, and heat until melted. Remove from the heat and stir in the rice cereal. |

Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared pan and smooth it into a thin layer, using a spatula. Immediately sprinkle the dried cherries and hazelnuts over the chocolate mixture, then press them into it with the palm of your hand. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour, or until set. |
