Ingredients

24 ounces Heavy Cream
12 ounces Half-and-Half
12 ounces Chocolate Chips , semisweet
1/3 ounce Ancho Chiles powder
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
½ teaspoon Cloves , ground
½ teaspoon Salt
3 large whole Egg
3 large Egg yolks
4 ounces Sugar
8 ounce loaf of French Bread , cut in 1” cubes

This bread pudding makes a lovely breakfast treat with some cinnamon sprinkled on top. Try this with a bit of whipped cream for a sweet snack.

Combine heavy cream and half-and-half in a saucepan on high heat and bring to a boil.

Place chocolate chips in a bowl and pour the hot cream over the chips. Stir until well combined and smooth.

Add chile powder, cinnamon, salt and cloves to the bowl and stir well.

In a separate bowl, beat eggs and egg yolks together lightly. Beat in sugar.

Stir in 8 ounces of chocolate mixture into the eggs until smooth. Toss in bread until coated and let the bread sit for 15 minutes, soaking up the chocolate. Stir often.
