Combine the olive oil, onion, and garlic in a skillet over medium heat. When the onion sizzles, add a pinch of salt and sauté until translucent, about 3 minutes. Add the chopped sage, pepper, chickpeas, wine, and ½ teaspoon salt. |

Reduce the heat to low and simmer until the beans are heated through and the wine has reduced a bit, 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and add the lemon juice. Stir well and serve garnished with fresh sage leaves and a generous drizzle of good olive oil. |
