Baked parmesan fennel recipe

Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
2 large Fennel Bulbs , stalks and fronds removed
1 oz 30 g Butter
1 ½ oz 40 g Parmesan Cheese , grated
2 tsp dried Oregano
Sea Salt
Black Pepper

Steps

Cut each fennel bulb into quarters leaving the core intact this will hold all the layers together.

Place the fennel in boiling water and cook until tender about 15 minutes.

Drain the fennel well and lay cut side down on kitchen paper to absorb any excess water.

Place the fennel quarters cut side up in a baking dish and brush each side with melted butter.

Sprinkle the grated Parmesan evenly over each piece, followed by the dried oregano, sea salt, and pepper.

Broil (grill) under a low heat for 10 minutes until the Parmesan is golden and bubbling.
