1 ½ oz 40 g Parmesan Cheese

2 tsp dried Oregano

Cut each fennel bulb into quarters leaving the core intact this will hold all the layers together. |

Place the fennel in boiling water and cook until tender about 15 minutes. |

Drain the fennel well and lay cut side down on kitchen paper to absorb any excess water. |

Place the fennel quarters cut side up in a baking dish and brush each side with melted butter. |

Sprinkle the grated Parmesan evenly over each piece, followed by the dried oregano, sea salt, and pepper. |

Broil (grill) under a low heat for 10 minutes until the Parmesan is golden and bubbling. |
