Directions
“Ata din-din” literal translation fried pepper is a spicy pepper sauce from the Yoruba tribe in Nigeria. Usually served as an accompaniment to a dish, the main ingredients are red sweet peppers and scotch bonnet peppers.

Rinse and remove the root of the red peppers then place peppers in an oven tray and bake for approx. 10 minutes at 160°. |

Add the baked red bell peppers and scotch bonnet peppers to a food processor with an s-blade attachment and turn on for a few seconds to chop. |

Place a pot on medium heat and add vegetable oil. |

When the oil has heated up, add the onions. |

Add tomato paste and seasoning powder to desired taste. |

Transfer chopped peppers from the food processor into the pot and fry in with onions. |

May add more seasoning if not happy with taste at this stage, |

Leave to fry for 10 minutes, then turn off the hob. Serve with fried plantain or yam. |
