Directions
This is classic apple cinnamon pie. When ready, it goes well with vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt. Recipe is for one 9″ pie, 8 portions.

Prepare the DoughWhisk egg and honey. Add oil, cinnamon, and nutmeg powder. Mix all together using mixer or whisk. Then add flour and mix the dough with hands. |

Form the dough into a ball shape and place it in a bag in a freezer for 5–10 minutes. It will make the dough easier to work with. |

Prepare the FillingClean apples remove the peel and stones; cut apples into small pieces and place them in a bowl. Add 2 tbsp. of honey and spices. Mix well using a spoon. |

Put the oven on preheat to 380°F. |

Now let’s Prepare the BaseTake the dough out. It is enough dough to make 2 layers for the pie the base and the top. Cut the dough into two parts using a sharp knife, and roll each part separately using a rolling pin or bottle. |

Make the circle from each part of the dough. You can use a lid of the proper size to achieve perfect circle shapes. |

Place the base layer of the pie on a wax paper, and put it on a round tray. |

As for the top layer make two small 1″ cross cuts in the middle and keep it aside. |

Place apple filling on your pie base and distribute the filling inside using a tablespoon. |

When you finish, apply the top layer of the dough on the top. Stick the edges of the dough layers together using your fingers. You can cut the rest of the dough and apply to the edges. I rolled the dough and twirled it around the pie. |

Place the pie in the oven and bake for 40 minutes (380°F). |
