1 cup confectioners' Sugar
¾ cup white Flour
¼ tsp Baking Powder
¼ cup extra confectioners’ Sugar

Madeleines are a light, buttery French cookie. You need a madeleine pan to get the shell-shape for which madeleines are famous. But if you don’t have one, you can still use a baking pan and cut the madeleines into regular squares. Enjoy these with a good cup of coffee.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Thoroughly butter the Madeleine molds. This is important.

Whip the eggs, vanilla and orange liqueur with a hand mixer for 5 minutes.

Slowly add the sugar and keep whipping.

Add the flour and baking powder and thoroughly combine.

Transfer the batter into the Madeleine molds. 7. Bake for 12 minutes.

Invert the Madeleine pan to loosen the Madeleines. 9. Dust with confectioners’ sugar.
