Make 12 balls of bean paste. |

In a bowl blend egg, sugar, and water until smooth |

Put butter, baking powder and flour into a small food processor. Mix by pulsing operation of the food processor. |

Add egg-sugar mix and briefly mix by pulsing. |

Transfer the dough from the food processor to a floured board. |

Knead briefly. The dough must be soft like earlobe. |

Divide to 12 pieces. Flatten each to a round shape in palm. Use corn starch if the dough is sticky. |

Put each bean paste ball at the centre of a flattened dough, and wrap by bringing up the edges. |

Seal the opening, and adjust the shape. |

Brush the top with egg wash. |

Stick a piece of walnut into the top of manju. |
