1 (32-ounce) carton Chicken broth

Directions
This Split Pea Soup is chock full of flavor and veggies! Turkey bacon keeps it light, but you can always sub in the real thing if you miss it. This is also a great recipe for using up leftover ham just dice it up and throw it into the freezer bag instead of the turkey bacon.

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Label a 1-gallon freezer bag, place it in another large bowl, and pour in the soup mixture. Squeeze the remaining air out of the bag and seal it. Lay the bag flat to freeze. |

Serving DayAllow the soup to thaw overnight in the refrigerator. On serving day, pour the mixture into the slow cooker, cover it, and cook on low for 7–8 hours. Remove the bay leaves before serving. |
